That your car will break the tires loose shifting into 2nd gear:
And it’s an automatic.
Did I mention I love driving this thing yet?

They all don’t do that?

But I’ll let you in on a secret. All of mine do ;)

This is an auto........

I would do that with my moms 2003 manual CRV when I would borrow it to hawl things that didn’t fit in my protege5.
Until I got stopped by the cops, but I told them it wasn’t my car, and i’m not used to driving manuals.....

It’s easy to do in a manual, this is an auto.

FWD? Not a huge surprise, c oupled with older tires or some grit on the road. Stomp the gas and it transfers all the weight off the front end.

When you realize your diesel truck will do that in 3rd....

4 speed auto.
New “sticky” tires.
clean road.

Yesh can’t say I’ve ever done that with an auto. Even the Rabbit with stick wider than stock tires with do that, because it’s manual.

My car
will chirp the tires shifting to 2nd with wot. (rwd + auto). It’s fun when the conditions and traffic allow it.

My ‘74 Monte Carlo would lay a stripe if you were at 2/3 throttle when it shifted into second gear... at 52-55 mph. It was a 400/400 with a shift kit.

Mi ne wants to do this in 2nd and 3rd. It's an auto and I'm running about 400 at the wheels. I blame my runflat 225's. Ugh, I hate these tires

That would be fun.
I maybe have 150/180 at the wheels.

Stability and traction control kick in too much and cut power unfortunately. Even with traction control off, the car doesn’t like burnouts, prolonged slides, or complete loss of traction for prolonged periods (11's). Couple that with a jerky throttle and boost that kicks in suddenly and the experience results in mixed feelings.
My previous car was a C5Z, and I miss how controllable the slides were and how grip was directly linked to my throttle input.

Stabili ty and Traction Control? What are those? ;)
